We uncovered several key insights: <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2024 Data Insights:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>58,000<\/strong> <strong>items<\/strong> received into stock<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>25,400 products (44%)<\/strong> had an increased purchase price.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Of these 25,400 \u2192 only 5,200 were unique SKUs.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2,300 products had their prices changed more than three times a year.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>First Conclusion:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The last point from the above analysis already indicates that purchasing <strong>2,300 ESL labels <\/strong>would solve <strong>80% of price update issues<\/strong>, rather than implementing ESL across the entire product range.<\/p>\n\n<p>But we delved even deeper into the data.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Much Does Manual Price Updating Cost? Let\u2019s look at the following calculation: <\/h2>\n\n<p>Each price change requires manual printing and label replacement. Let\u2019s assume that<strong> replacing a single label takes 1 minute.<\/strong> This results in:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>25,400 minutes \/ 60 \/ 12 months = 35.2 hours per month<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The gross cost of an employee in the store is <strong>\u00a318\/hour<\/strong>, which amounts to<strong> \u00a37,620 per year.<br\/><\/strong><em>(And that\u2019s just the labour cost!)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Additional Hidden Costs:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Materials (paper, printer, disposal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Labelling errors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delays in price updates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training and audits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potential loss of sales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>And that\u2019s just the <strong>cost of price updates<\/strong>\u2026 But what about margin management errors?<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Another Key Insight from Data Analysis: Failure to Update Selling Prices \u2013 \u00a311,300 Lost Annually!<\/h2>\n\n<p>Further analysis revealed an <strong>unexpected issue<\/strong>.
